Hypno-Band Practitioner David Birch
Hello, my name is David Birch and I am a fully qualified Hypnothera
pist and Psychotherapist.
I began my therapeutic career many, many years ago and trained at Peterborough Regional College in England and became a fully qualified Psychodynamic Counsellor.
With a passion for more ‘therapeutic tools’ in my toolbox I went on to train with The Institute for Stress Management in London and became a fully qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist.
I have also trained in Solution Focused Therapy, Person Centred Therapy, Gestalt, Motivational Interviewing and many others, I have always warmed towards the word ‘eclectic’ (a bit of everything) to achieve maximum benefit for the client.
I then became extremely interested in Hypnotherapy and trained with Dr. Joseph Keaney and The Institute of Clinical Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy here in Ireland and was awarded the Advanced Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy (ADHP) and I am an Accredited member of that organisation.
I then went on to complete a further course of study with the worlds leading Pure Hypnoanalysis school of Therapy in the UK The International Association of Pure Hypnoanalysts (IAPH) originally founded by Neil French and more recently by Rob Kelly and I am an Accredited member of that organisation.
I am also a Validated Practitioner registered with the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).
I am passionate about promoting the benefits of Hypnotherapy and getting rid of the misconceptions associated with stage hypnosis. I believe the Hypno-
Hypnotherapy has been described as being like ‘flicking a switch in the brain’, turning off cravings and eating only until satisfied.
There is nothing magical or mystical about Hypnotherapy, instead it is a method that enables a person to help themselves.
